What do I need to prepare for a home visit?
The most important way to prepare is to be comfortable in your space! I'm here to see you in your natural environment. It is helpful if your baby is needing to be fed during the visit, so timing the visit in order to facilitate this. Filling out the questionnaire and consent prior to the appt is helpful but will also be done during the visit.

Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral for this service. I will work collaboratively with any of your other providers if needed.

What if my baby is fussy?
Don't worry! Babies are so clever and they will be most calm when left with mom in the environment they know. There is no rush during the appointment and time to flow with babies cues.

Is this service covered?
Yes and No... At this time I do not offer OHIP coverage. However, most insurance companies will cover my services under "Nursing Services"- Postpartum Care. Please check with your provider to see if this can benefit you.

What if I need additional equipment?
During the visit recommendations may be made, however it is always up to you to decide if you'd like to purchase extra/different equipment. There is never any pressure!
